Lisa Maholchic, LCSW-C is a licensed clinical social worker who earned her graduate degree from the University of Maryland. During this time she completed an internship at Anne Arundel County Department of Social Service’s Family Preservation Unit and then Children’s Choice Foster Care Agency. Lisa went on to earn her trauma-certification from the Ferentz Institute.

 

Lisa has worked in an outpatient mental health clinic for the past 7 years where she provided individual and family therapy to children, adolescents, and adults both in the community and in the clinic. She managed the clinic’s school-based mental health program for 3 years and served as a program supervisor.

 

Today, Lisa works with individuals, couples, and families. She has experience with a wide range of clinical issues including: trauma, anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, adolescents, behavioral challenges, school related issues, stress management, parenting skills, family conflict, self-esteem, couples counseling, loss/grief, and stress-management.

 

Lisa practices a person-centered approach to psychotherapy, focusing on strengths, psychological presentation, psychoeducation, and mindfulness techniques.
